Repurposing Your Candle Jar

Updated: Oct 26, 2023

First thing first!

  • Clean the jar: After removing the wax, there may be a residue left inside the jar. Fill the jar with hot, soapy water and let it sit for a few minutes. Then, use a sponge or a bottle brush to scrub the inside of the jar, removing any remaining wax or residue. Rinse the jar thoroughly with clean water.

  • Remove the wick and metal base: If the wick has a metal base at the bottom of the jar, you'll need to remove it. Use pliers or tweezers to carefully pull out the metal base.

Let your creativity take over!

  • Clean candle jars make great storage containers for small items. Use them to organize and store office supplies, craft supplies, makeup brushes, or even spices in the kitchen.

  • Add a fresh touch to your home decor by using the candle jar as a vase for flowers or small plants. Simply place some water inside and arrange your favorite blooms.

  • Makeup brush holder: Use the jar to store your makeup brushes, keeping them organized and easily accessible on your vanity or bathroom countertop

  • Bathroom organizer: Utilize the jar to store cotton swabs, cotton balls, or other small bathroom essentials. It keeps them within reach while adding a touch of elegance to your bathroom.

The possibilities are endless, and repurposing candle jars is a great way to reduce waste and add a unique touch to your home decor.
